Campaign Brief
The Challenges of the Fifteen52 Metrix MX Product Launch
Following the high-volume demand generated by the Traverse MX launch in 2020, Fifteen52 initiated development on its successor, the Metrix MX, to capture expanding market share in the CUV/soft-roader segment. Despite encountering severe supply chain disruption, including pandemic-related production delays, shifting ETA dates, and warehouse capacity constraints driven by Volkswagen OEM accessory allocations, the Metrix MX project serves as a key case study in agile go-to-market execution, channel prioritization, and strategy under macroeconomic friction.

Ideation & Execution
Traverse MX deemed a VW Wheel, The Metrix MX...?
As market data revealed the popular Traverse MX was increasingly perceived as an exclusively Volkswagen design, costing us traction among Ford, Toyota, and Subaru buyers, we leveraged the launch of the Metrix MX to break out of the VW niche and capture the exploding crossover (CUV) market. With zero paid ad budget allocated for the campaign, success relied entirely on zero-dollar, high-impact organic strategies and strategic partner leverage. To penetrate the newly popular Ford Bronco Sport and competitive Subaru CUV segments, I anchored our visual launch around a high-profile Bronco Sport feature build in partnership with Falken Tires. I then directed an aggressive grassroots creator campaign, sourcing and equipping emerging micro-influencers in the CUV adventure space to generate steady, authentic UGC. To convert that community interest into retail momentum, I spearheaded a channel alignment with Discount Tire, positioning Fifteen52 as the premier aftermarket destination for rugged CUV wheels across nationwide retail locations, all achieved through organic pull and co-marketing partnerships.

Final Takeaways
Friction as Innovation: Turning Zero Budget into Channel Alignment & Organic Demand
Operating on zero paid ad spend forced us to replace cash burn with pure channel resourcefulness. Instead of treating B2B sales and D2C marketing as separate siloes, we treated them as a single feedback loop: our sales team used our high-impact visual catalogs to win shelf space at major tire retailers, while our micro-influencer network created the organic social proof that made CUV owners actually ask for the wheels by name. Breaking out of our VW comfort zone to capture the emerging Bronco Sport and CUV soft-roading market proved that budget restrictions aren't a death sentence, they're just an invitation to engineer smarter, relationship-driven growth.
